Product Description
Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs) provide Caprylic Acid and Capric Acid. MCTs are a unique form of dietary fat. MCTs can be derived from coconut oil. MCTs are shorter in length than most other dietary fats. This allows them to be oxidized without having to use the carnitine shuttle. In other words, the chain length of the different types of dietary fatty acids plays a role in how and where the various dietary fats are metabolized.1 Similarly as with other fats, MCTs provide more energy per ounce than carbohydrates, but unlike other fats, this energy can be released from your GI tract quickly.1 Rapid release softgels.
